With two restaurants, a brasserie with a bar, and a beach pavilion, blooming is the perfect destination for culinary connoisseurs and life enthusiasts. From fine dining to the perfect hamburger. A classic bottle of wine or a flavorful cocktail. Views of the forest, the dunes, or the sea. Dining at blooming is fresh, good, and leaves you wanting more. The team of talented chefs and chefs-to-be is ready for you every day. This is fine dining the blooming way.
The ingredients used come as much as possible from our own organic vegetable garden, which is located at Het Hof estate, and from farmers in the region. Our kitchen brigade draws inspiration from the Hoftuin (Garden of the Court). This Hoftuin is the common thread throughout the blooming menu. Together with the gardener, the chef creates a planting plan every year, allowing blooming to automatically cook in harmony with the seasons. What is harvested in the morning is on the menu in the evening.
In the high season, a cargo bike full of fresh products from the Hoftuin departs daily, sometimes even twice a day, to the blooming kitchens. The first stop is the kitchen of Het Hof, where chef Daniël Meuleman is in charge. The next stop is the kitchen in blooming hotel. Here you will find the kitchen of restaurant Zandhoeve and our blooming brasserie. Here too, the chefs are inspired by everything that comes from the garden. Sometimes, adjustments are made to the menu on the day itself so that the fresh products from our own organic garden can be served directly. This isn’t something you find in a book.
Eating from our own garden. You can taste it. Just 2 kilometers from blooming hotel, you’ll find Het Hof. At Het Hof, you’ll find our organic vegetable garden, where more than 50 types of vegetables, herbs, and fruits are an endless source of inspiration for our kitchen brigade. Our chefs are guided by the garden and cook in harmony with the seasons.
Whether it’s summer or winter, there’s always something happening in the Hoftuin. In the Hoftuin, residents of Scorlewald, a care institution for people with limited access to the labor market, work. They sow, harvest, rake, mow, prune, hoe, and shell beans. This way, they provide fresh products for the blooming every day.
