the beautiful nature

the Bergerbos

In the Bergerbos, the old estate character of Bergen is still very recognizable. The Sparrenlaan and Jan Willemslaan still lead your gaze to blooming Landgoed Het Hof. Between these lanes lies the old forest area. Here, you’ll find gnarled oaks with an undergrowth of mosses or lush holly, another typical companion of old forests. You can walk along wide paths and narrow lanes. Don’t forget to stop by Landgoed Het Hof to visit our organic vegetable garden.

the Schoorlse Duinen

Not afraid of a little climbing and descending? Then climb the Schoorlse Duinen, the highest dune area in the Netherlands, located in the northern part of North Holland, and plenty of space to blow off steam. A century ago, it was one big sandbox here, but now dozens of bird species nest, beautiful mushrooms grow, and the sunlight plays with thousands of tree leaves.

the Blonde Duinen

When we talk about the Blonde Duinen, we mean the dune area just south of Bergen aan Zee, right between blooming hotel and the coast. These dunes are also less vegetated and green, giving them a beautiful expansive view. For long walks and wide vistas, the Blonde Duinen is the place to go.

Noordhollands Duinreservaat

Slightly different from the Schoorlse Duinen but just as beautiful. The North Holland Dune Reserve between Egmond and Bergen is an area with magnificent views and fairytale-like forests. Don’t be surprised, you can encounter a Scottish Highlander or another grazer behind every dune and every tree.
